  1. She’s a plump little woodpecker! I have a family, of red bellied woodpeckers in a dying tree in my front yard. Two of them have been coming and going with something in their mouth and I thought I heard some chirping. This got my attention. Then a little woodpecker stuck its head out and I was able to get a picture. One, was a bigger woodpecker it seemed like it had solid black feathers on its back with a red head?! They are fascinating to watch and I take a little videos and snap pictures when I can.
