IntoBirds was thrilled to take part of the Great Backyard Bird Count last weekend February 16-19 sponsored by our friends at The Cornell Lab, the Audubon Society, and Bird Studies Canada here at our headquarters in Ridgefield, CT.
It was a crazy four days of weather with a snowstorm mixed in, but that didn’t stop us from our count.
We had a several species at our Droll Yankees Feeder, at our feeding stump, and in the yard.
Here’s some of the highlights from our backyard bird count.

Early Spring Visitors
And just two days after the Great Backyard Bird Count when we experienced balmy 70-degree weather, we saw our first American Robins, Eastern Bluebirds and European Starlings of 2018.
They just missed the cut. But we’re glad to have them as a reminder that spring is just around the corner.
Now get out and see birds!
